Major Moscow's Assaults Disrupt Electricity Across Ukraine's Capital

Energy infrastructure targeted in Ukraine
Ukraine's power facilities have come under increased strikes in the past few days

Throughout the evening, Russian missile and drone strikes have caused electricity outages in extensive areas of the capital city, Kyiv.

Several individuals were injured while inhabitants in eastern neighborhoods were experienced blackouts and encountered interruptions to drinking water, per reports from city officials.

Simultaneously, a minor was lost their life in a different aerial attack in the Zaporizhzhia region in the southern area, according to area administrators.

Moscow has increased assaults on power infrastructure over the last fortnight, while officials has called for "substantial measures" from allies to apply pressure on Russia.

"The necessity is not symbolic gestures but firm measures - from the United States, the EU and the major economies - in supplying air defence systems and applying sanctions," was stated in a social media post.

Officials stated that 450 drones and over thirty rockets targeted Ukraine's energy infrastructure, describing such attacks as "premeditated" and against "essential services" as temperatures become colder.

The energy minister said Moscow was "inflicting a massive strike" and technical staff were working to repair systems.

A series of attacks struck energy infrastructure and residential structures in the capital.

Several of the people hurt in the attacks on the capital have been taken to hospital, per statements from local officials.

Area administrators said the city endured significant strikes overnight. A minor was killed and multiple civilians were wounded.

The attacks follow periods of air raids in the area, sections of which are currently controlled by Moscow's military.

The entire country is in a state of readiness for sophisticated projectile assaults, which are tougher to identify.

Government officials told journalists that Russia was deliberately attempting to damage the national power system, with assaults already disrupting fuel infrastructure.

Authorities confirmed technical personnel and officials were anticipating more assaults.
