Plane Carrying US Defense Secretary Forced to Touch Down in UK Because of Crack in Windshield

A plane carrying the US defense secretary was compelled to make an unscheduled landing in the United Kingdom on Wednesday following a fracture was discovered in the jet's front window, per an official statement which confirmed that the secretary was unharmed.

"The aircraft touched down based on standard protocol and everyone onboard, among them Secretary Hegseth, is unharmed," an official representative said in a public statement.

He was traveling back from a quick journey to the Belgian capital when the incident occurred.

This occurrence isn't the first occasion that a American defense plane carrying a top government figure has experienced equipment failures.

In a previous incident this year, a US Air Force plane transporting Secretary of State Marco Rubio to the city in Germany was required to turn back to the US capital after suffering a technical issue.
