The carrier is introducing complimentary fast onboard connectivity via satellite deal
Passengers on the airline will soon access quick internet in the air at no cost following a recent deal with SpaceX's space company.
Complimentary plus Fast Wifi Across the Board
The carrier announced that the free, “quick and reliable” connectivity offering through the satellite provider will be accessible to passengers flying coach, premium economy, and first class starting the coming month.
Broad Implementation Throughout Multiple Airlines
The parent company of BA, IAG, stated it had secured an agreement involving the satellite firm for providing internet coverage for more than 500 jets across its carriers, such as Aer Lingus, the Spanish carrier, plus Vueling.
Smooth Wifi from Gate to Landing
BA noted that this implementation of the system was included in a multi-billion pound “transformation” program that will provide uninterrupted wifi service for travelers from boarding through arrival, even when they are flying above large bodies of water and remote regions.
Passengers will be able to connect multiple devices while they will not need a separate access code.
Transformative for the airline as well as travelers, elevating the journey in the air on BA by giving passengers seamless wifi from gate to gate.”
Present Connectivity Options
Restricted internet access remains offered for BA passengers across nearly all of its aircraft using its .air platform.
Participants in BA’s reward scheme may transmit messages and plain-text emails during flights at no cost, while travelers who want to access audio, films, and content during the journey if not travelling in business or first can expect to pay between £4.99 and £21.99 for one wifi bundle.

Recent Upgrades for British Airways
The airline's executive team have been working to turn the airline around following years with budget reductions, system failures, labor disputes, and large-scale layoffs.
