The former president's Family Member Gets Professional Tips from Golf Legend Woods Before Professional Golf First Appearance
The rising star boasts considerable online audience
Kai Trump will have multiple prominent cheerleaders when she makes her professional golf debut on Thursday.
This teenage golfer, who is related to a former US president, received a tournament invitation to participate at the Annika competition in the Sunshine State.
Her grandfather, a passionate golfer, possesses multiple international courses and often competes against Kai.
"He's pretty good. I can't say much but we play some close matches," she mentioned.
The golfer shared that Trump, who won't be present, told her: "Just don't get nervous."
"My grandpa practically advised me to play and relax," she continued.
"To me, he's simply an ordinary family member. He can't make it for the tournament. He's busy with world affairs, so he's rather occupied."
Being non-professional, Kai has participated in only three events in 2024 and maintains position 461 in AJGA rankings.
Yet she can get advice from 15-time major champion, in a relationship with Kai's mother.
"He represents the best player in the world," Kai expressed.
"And he's an even better human being. He suggested me to compete, have fun, adapting to whatever happens."
She'll challenge several the biggest names in women's golf at this tournament, featuring second-ranked the champion, England's Charley Hull, professional Thompson and 2023 champion Lilia Vu.
The LPGA commented that her participation exposes the sport to different demographics, particularly among youth audiences.
Kai maintains millions of followers and just introduced a personal apparel and wellness company.
The competition starts at 5:30 PM GMT.
