The Initial Game Pass Games of 2026 Show Xbox Is Still Fighting.

Everywhere you go, enthusiasts continue to ring the funeral bells for Microsoft's gaming division. Microsoft's console just got outsold by a lesser-known competitor. Dedicated Xbox communities began covering about PlayStation unprecedentedly. Last year proved to be an era of significant turmoil for Xbox and Microsoft. Yet, based exclusively on the titles headed to the service in 2026, it's evident that Xbox still intends to attract subscribers with compelling titles on its key platform.

The Immediate Additions

The duo of games currently accessible today, Brews & Bastards and Little Nightmares Enhanced Edition, are not the headliners. Rather, it's what is coming to Game Pass in the coming weeks that's truly noteworthy.

Upcoming Headline Games

Starting January 13th, Game Pass will add the underrated Star Wars Outlaws, an open-world game that deviates from conventional open-world tropes with a space-faring criminal escapade. A further major acquisition is Resident Evil Village and its giant Lady Dimitrescu, previously described as "an ideal blend of horror and action."

Noteworthy Smaller Games

Yet, the less-hyped additions coming to Game Pass soon are quite compelling. Lost In Random: The Eternal Die, a fantastic but under-the-radar dungeon crawler offering thrilling gameplay, drops on Jan. 7th — and it's worth experiencing even if you missed out on the first Lost in Random game.

The British post-apocalyptic game from last year might get its hooks in you remarkably quickly.

Atomfall, a survival title with stealth elements by Rebellion Developments, also warrants your attention. Those with the top-tier subscription also have Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine – Master Crafted Edition to get excited about.

A Well-Rounded Collection

Ultimately, these titles aren't industry-shaking releases to Game Pass, and they don't represent first-party juggernauts that justify the service by themselves. However, this batch of games are very dependable. There's a good mixture of old games you might have missed and fairly new titles that failed to receive the spotlight they were due initially — transforming them into excellent choices to find a new audience on Game Pass.

Be prepared to part ways with The Grinch Christmas Adventures, though.
