Uche Fuels Dominant Crystal Palace Win at Shelbourne.
Even though entering their maiden continental campaign, Crystal Palace are adapting at a rapid pace. Missing key figures like striker Jean-Philippe Mateta and wing-back Daniel Muñoz, the Eagles departed Dublin with a commanding result that virtually guarantees them a place in the Conference League qualifying rounds.
A further victory in their next match against Finnish KuPS should be enough to seal direct passage to the knockout stages, especially following a prior setback against Strasbourg.
Fringe Players Grasp the Opportunity
This match offered a chance for several Palace's fringe talent to impress. Christantus Uche, making only his second beginning since arriving on loan from Getafe, notched the scoring with a clinical goal. Forward Eddie Nketiah added a another, scoring for the second game in succession.
The Shelbourne team that had concluded their domestic season were outmatched against a mostly rotated Palace lineup. The visitors were further weakened by the reports that Mateta and Muñoz are sidelined with leg problems.

The contest was effectively over eight minutes from half-time. Yeremy Pino weaved past some comically weak challenges before calmly slotting a shot past keeper Wessel Speel to make it 3-0.
After the break, coach Oliver Glasner seized the opportunity to withdraw key individuals like Kamada and Wharton. Substitute Romain Esse almost scoring his first touch, only to see his shot blocked.
Esse was incredibly unlucky later on, seeing one shot crash off both posts before being clasped on the line. Uche also blazed a sitter of a chance, indicating there is still scope for improvement in his game.
A solitary concern for Palace was a late injury to Justin Devenny, who limped off. This paved the way for 17-year-old striker Benji Casey to earn his first-team debut, capping an otherwise positive night for the visiting side.
